Interesting from two perspectives: one that the mother of the mothers believed the PMRC was a front to distract voters attention away from two significant, Reagan-supported, deficit reduction tax increases; and two, that today’s media-hyped “the economic end is near” sequestration, also had its origins in the 1985 Gramm-Rudman-Hollings (yes the same Hollings, whose PMRC position is queried by Frank) Balanced Budget Act (aka sequestration).
