b-school buys university

Teppo

Instituto de Empresa, a top European b-school, has bought a university (here is the Financial Times article and the DeansTalk.net post – I hope the Dean, Santiago Iniquez, further blogs on the matter).  I have thoroughly enjoyed my interaction with colleagues in disciplines such as sociology, psychology, computer science, philosophy, education, and even medicine; and, I have wondered how scholars even ‘make it’ in b-school-only type environments (e.g., INSEAD).  Given the multidisciplinary and applied nature of management and organization theory, it seems like crossdisciplinary interaction inherently can be beneficial, even if informal.
