shredding
While were at ASA/AOM… people who shred!
Andres Segovia rippin’ Torroba’s Suite Castellana, I.
John Williams smashes Villa-Lobos Estudio #1.
Ann Wilson gets Crazy on You.
Laurindo Almeida gorgeously plays Jobim’s “One Note Samba.” Backed by the ever tasteful Modern Jazz Quartet.
Buckethead. Need I say more? Sound ain’t great, but fer cryin’ out loud, just close the door to your office when you play this one.
You are a man of impeccable taste, Fabio. Thanks for this.

You might enjoy this early Baden Powell video:
And if we’re talking shredding, this has got to be considered a classic:

Many years ago, the 15-year-old next door informed me that Van Halen was the greatest guitar player that had ever lived. I suggested to him that Segovia was no slouch (I figured it would be useless to mention Joe Pass or Wes Montgomery). But he assured me that Van Halen was it. (FWIW, that kid is now concertmaster of some regional symphony orchestra. I wonder if he’s changed his rankings of guitarists.)

I’ve never seen Segovia and Heart mentioned by the same person, let alone in the same post. :)
As a classical guitarist myself, I’m very impressed by Andy McKee’s acoustic stuff:
