  4. I read this morning that the Red Cross has already received more than a million dollars through those text messages.

    Mercy Corps is also taking donations through Amazon’s website, which makes donating particularly easy for people with accounts there.

  9. I second the recommendation for Partners in Health. I went through the orgs I recognized on Charity Navigator, and it’s the highest rated, with 95% of its funds going to programs:
