i need $15,000 to make this social movement movie
My friend and collaborator Michael Heaney has teamed up with indie film maker Melody Weinstein to make The Activists, a film about antiwar protest. They are done filming and only need to edit the material. However, film is hideously expensive to edit. So they have a Kick starter project. Check it out and support a film that brings social movement research to life.
I’ll give the first three people who give $100 a signed copy of my book, From Black Power to Black Studies. Anyone who gives $20 will get a free e-copy of the Grad Skool Rulz. Send me an email w/proof of donation.
This is Melody filming a demonstration by World Can’t Wait.
Michael interviewing Tom Hayden for the movie.
