the future?
Teppo
Here’s three sites, other than orgtheory, to help you keep track of the future:
- TED is indispensable: if you need a break and have 20 minutes, TED provides a nice respite and interesting content by thought leaders from diverse fields – for a great example, watch this rather spirited delivery by Stanford’s Larry Lessig (watch minutes 2-4 in the presentation, you’ll enjoy the cadence).
- Ray Kurzweil‘s site: news about the future.
- And, Oxford’s Nick Bostrom always has something provocative to say.
I’m addicted to TED Talks. My vote for “unmissable” (one of their tags) is Hans Rosling’s first talk “Debunking third-world myths.”

Majora Carter on “Greening the Ghetto” is another fave.

James Howard Kunstler on “The Tragedy of Suburbia” is a third. See, addicted.

The site is addicting – luckily the presentations are a short 20 min – provides a quick diversion from data, grading, writing etc.
