who said blogs don’t have scholarly impact?
Go to “google scholar.” Click on “advanced scholar search.” Type “orgtheory.wordpress.com.” We have 17 citations! Who cites orgtheory?
- Ezra Zuckerman, twice
- Charles Perrow, twice (sorry no links working)
- Washington University Law Review
- West Virginia Law Review
There’s also a bunch of working papers and organizational reports. Sure, maybe when you compare the cites/articles ratio it isn’t so impressive. A blog has a lot noise, but we’re actually cited more often than some articles and books from nice presses.
The question is whether Prof. O. Theory’s record merits reappointment with a view to future promotion to tenure.

The thing is, senior faculty are not going to do anything about this, or many other problems. It’s junior faculty like you guys who should be pushing for modernization of the academic system.

Hmm… my citations are self-citations, back from when I was a guest blogger (I believe that Perrow’s citations are also to a piece written then). An interesting question then is why the orgtheory guys don’t cite their own blogs.

The more substantial impact of the blog likely flows from helping scholars test and refine ideas before submitting work to peer-reviewed journals and book publishers. How do you measure that?

I have witnessed that expenses for internet degree pros tend to be a fantastic value. Like a full Bachelors Degree in Communication with the University of Phoenix Online consists of 60 credits with $515/credit or $30,900. Also American Intercontinental University Online offers a Bachelors of Business Administration with a total course feature of 180 units and a tariff of $30,560. Online learning has made taking your certification far less difficult because you can certainly earn your degree from the comfort of your abode and when you finish from office. Thanks for all your other tips I’ve learned from your web-site.

I’ve learned result-oriented things from the blog post. Yet another thing to I have discovered is that normally, FSBO sellers may reject people. Remember, they would prefer to never use your providers. But if you maintain a comfortable, professional romance, offering aid and staying in contact for four to five weeks, you will usually have the capacity to win interviews. From there, a listing follows. Thank you
